Here at Clavey Vineyards we believe that if we all work together for the better good of each other, then we all will succeed in the end. We often pour at local events, and also give gift donations to various community sponsored events. Living what we speak is important to us. Our crew tries their best to show our support for those around us any way we can, when we can that we can, because we care. Donations are limited; please contact us for more information.
While being environmentally conscious, we understand the importance of practicing sustainable agriculture on the daily basis. We realize that in order to gain optimum crops and make sure our lands are here for generations to come, we must become good stewards of what has been gifted to us. Clavey Vineyards understands that in order to protect the soil and ecosystem, adding chemicals to our crops such as, pesticides and herbicides is not warranted. We know that if we do so, we will only cause future degradation to not our local environment. We have been building topsoil for nine years with cover crops to prevent soil erosion and nutrient depletion. While trimming beneath the vines, we are also able to maximize water retention, which therefore allows us to use less water. These as well as many other practices all help us to naturally enrich the soil with nitrogen, and other nutrients for the plants benefit. Our vineyard maintenance is our top priority as the final product directly affects the wine. We only want to produce the best for our current and future customers.
